A polar chart used to plot cyclical info like hourly traffic to a website or the average monthly temperature, etc
The Polar chart is the data visualization type that is great for showing multivariate researches with an arbitrary number of variables as a two-dimensional diagram. A polar chart was made to sort out and present information in a manner the audience can easily interpret and take action on.
Designed by Florence Nightingale, a polar chart was first intended to show the extent of needless deaths in military hospitals of Great Britain during the Crimean War (1953-56).
It looks like a standard pie chart, with the exception of sectors that have equal angles and differ more in how far every sector extends from the center of the circle.
Each colored wedge's area, which is measured from the center, is proportional to the represented statistics.
Treemap chart is a space-efficient and more compact method for showing hierarchies
